This October, the S-STEM Resource and Evaluation Center (REC) will host the 2026 S-STEM Scholars & PI Meeting in Washington, DC. To commemorate this meeting, we invited S-STEM Scholars to design the logo we will use in promotional materials, communications, and meeting signage.
Congratulations to Ella Stenberg for creating this year’s selected logo!

2026 S-STEM Scholars & PI Meeting Logo.
The concept behind this logo design is meant to show that everyone brings something valuable and we can come together to be stronger, something that I believe to be especially important at this time. The U.S. Capitol Building and Washington Monument are an ode to the location of the 2026 meeting and are meant to depict how STEM fields hold up the nation.

Logo design contest participants were asked to create something that captured the spirit and goals of the S-STEM program and recognize Washington, DC as the 2026 meeting location.
As the designer of this year’s selected logo, Ella will be recognized at the 2026 S-STEM Scholars & PI Meeting with a certificate and gift card.
The S-STEM REC team is grateful for so much engagement by scholars in this contest. The level of thought and creativity across the designs our team received made it difficult to decide on just one logo. In the coming weeks, we will highlight the logo designs from each of the contest finalists on social media. Thank you to all of this year’s participants and we look forward to future opportunities for you to share your artistic talents!
