S-STEM Scholar Spotlight: Nick DiTommaso

Nick DiTommaso (he/him) is a graduate of Michigan State University and an S-STEM alumnus. He graduated in May of 2021 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics. After graduation, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin where he works for Epic Systems Corporation as a Technical Coordinator and Team Lead. Nick is working in the intersection between healthcare and technology on organization’s digital strategy as it relates to patients, providers, and organizational wellbeing. With a specialty focus into data and analytics and how every member of the organization can have meaningful encounters with real world data. Nick shared, “Being a part of the S-STEM program in college gave me a wealth of resources within my own campus and nationwide that provided me with insights I couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. It was a privilege to get to work with other scholars and PIs and understand the variety of academic and industry paths available. It was a driving force in my interest of mentoring other young engineers as I continued into the professional space.”
