Alexandra Medina-Borja is the lead S-STEM program director at NSF. She has over 30 years of experience as a research administrator, government executive, scientist, and engineering educator. She has worked in industry, nonprofits, international development organizations, and more recently as a university professor at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez and at the US National Science Foundation (NSF). She held meaningful acting roles as Deputy Division Director of the Division of Graduate Education at NSF, and as the inaugural Section Head of Evaluation and Assessment Capability for the whole agency.
