Ivan Ramler is the Jack and Sylvia Burry Associate Professor of Statistics at St. Lawrence University. As a first generation college student, he received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota – Morris majoring in Mathematics & Statistics and earned his Ph.D. in Statistics at Iowa State University. In addition to regularly teaching classes in applied statistics and data science, he actively mentors research projects for undergraduate students. Ramler’s current interests and projects involve building statistics and data science educational materials using sports data, as well as applications to the environment and ecology. He is also a writer and editor for The New York Times Learning Network’s feature, “What’s Going On in This Graph?”
