Elizabeth Litzler, PhD is the Director of the UW Center for Evaluation & Research for STEM Equity (CERSE) and an Affiliate Assistant Professor in UW Sociology. Her research and evaluation areas include the educational climate for undergraduate and graduate students, intersectionality of identities, and gender and race/ethnicity stratification in education. She manages program evaluations that provide actionable strategies to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM fields. This includes evaluation of NSF ADVANCE, S-STEM, INCLUDES, and IUSE projects among others. She is a former Chair of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Commission on Diversity Equity, and Inclusion, and served on the Women in Engineering ProActive Network (WEPAN) Board of Directors for 4 years.
