Mercy Mugo

Mercy Mugo, PhD, Executive Director, Quality Education for Minorities Network (QEM), has expertise in successfully leading the implementation of capacity building and educational research projects centered in advancing the participation of groups historically underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and careers. She leads several initiatives that engage key stakeholders (administrators, faculty, and students) primarily at the Minority-serving Institutions (MSIs) to contribute to and benefit from STEM. She has co-authored several articles focused on understanding the learning environments that successfully promote STEM education and research at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
