Thasanee Morrissey (she/her) is currently a Biology Faculty at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC), where she teaches introductory biology for majors. With over 12 years of teaching experience across high school and college levels, Thasanee is passionate about cultivating inclusive learning environments that foster student engagement and scientific curiosity. As a former scholar in the NSF-funded Undergraduate Mentoring in Environmental Biology program and an experienced undergraduate and post-baccalaureate researcher, she deeply values the role of research experiences in shaping STEM identity and community. Her commitment extends to mentoring students in Undergraduate Research Experiences and providing meaningful opportunities for student growth in the sciences. Thasanee aims to inspire the next generation of biologists through mentorship and hands-on learning.
