Developing and Using a Logic Model or Theory of Change in Your NSF S-STEM Proposal

A logic model is a useful blueprint for representing what an S-STEM project is about and its intended outputs and outcomes. S-STEM principal investigators (PIs), Co-PIs, evaluators, and researchers can use a logic model to track progress over the course of their NSF S-STEM project. In this 90-minute webinar, Dr. Kavita Mittapalli, CEO of MN Associates, Inc. (MNA), will provide an overview of how to develop and use a logic model, showcasing examples from prior S-STEM projects. She will also discuss how a logic model can inform the evaluation component of your S-STEM project. Additionally, Dr. Mittapalli will introduce the Theory of Change, explaining its similarities and differences compared to a logic model. Attendees will learn how each tool serves different yet complementary purposes in project planning and evaluation. Resources for developing your own logic model and Theory of Change will be provided. Time will also be allotted for live Q&A. The webinar will be offered twice, with the same content covered in both sessions.
