Evaluation-Centered Virtual Discussion and Knowledge Exchange: Field-Tested Practices and Lessons Learned with S-STEM Project Data Collection

All NSF S-STEM awards aim to increase the number of talented, low-income students who graduate with degrees in STEM and enter the STEM workforce. However, the contexts, support activities, metrics, and evaluation plans of S-STEM funded projects vary widely. To support the S-STEM stakeholder community in conducting and reporting on the evaluations of their unique projects the S-STEM Resource and Evaluation Center (REC) is launching a series of virtual discussions and knowledge exchanges open to S-STEM project evaluators, social science researchers, institutional researchers, PIs, Co-PIs, and project staff members of awards in all S-STEM Tracks.

In this 60-minute virtual session, Nina de las Alas, Senior Research Associate, MN Associates, Inc. (MNA) will facilitate discussions around field-tested practices in data collection for S-STEM project evaluations. Bring your questions and ideas about successful practices and lessons learned for this share-and-learn session! In addition, MNA staff will provide an optional 15-minute technical assistance opportunity immediately following the session.
