Description: Experiential learning in higher education refers to instructional approaches that engage students in direct, hands-on experiences-such as active learning, reflection, and real-world problem-solving-to deepen understanding and foster skill development. The effectiveness of experiential learning is commonly assessed using validated surveys with Likert-type scales, measuring factors like authenticity, active learning, relevance, and utility, as well as students’ engagement and conceptual understanding across various experiential learning stages.
The REC website now houses a database of measures/tools and instruments for Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).
To locate the additional databases, go to the “Resources” page on the REC website and click on the “Evidence-Based Practices” Resource Type on the side bar. You can browse through the list of EBPs relevant to your project.
