Description: Interdisciplinary research in higher education involves collaborative projects or studies that integrate knowledge, methods, and perspectives from multiple academic disciplines to address complex societal or scientific issues. The effectiveness of interdisciplinary research experiences is often evaluated by assessing students’ self-reported interdisciplinary skills, conceptual knowledge, and attitudes-typically using validated surveys or rubrics with Likert-type scales to measure competencies such as interdisciplinary science thinking and mastery.
The REC website now houses a database of measures/tools and instruments for Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).
To locate the additional databases, go to the “Resources” page on the REC website and click on the “Evidence-Based Practices” Resource Type on the side bar. You can browse through the list of EBPs relevant to your project.
